GAME Awards Honor Nintendo

GAME is Europe's largest retailer of computer software and videogames. They have recently announced their annual year end awards, and Nintendo has managed to make a big impact in nearly every category with their Nintendo DS and games like Resident Evil 4 and Mario Kart DS.

The Nintendo DS was honored with the best Technical Achievement award for which game declared was "arguably the first true Evolution of gaming in decades." Mario Kart DS won the prize for best Portable Game, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat won for best Original Game, and Resident Evil 4 landed a double with wins for both People's Choice and Game of the Year.

Nintendo as a company was also honored with runners-up awards given for both the Publisher and Developer categories. For reference, Nintendo and their games were represented in 8 out of 10 categories, and all 10 categories when taken as part of the multiplatform titles.

Nintendogs and Advance Wars: Dual Strike for the Nintendo DS were also runners up in the Originality and Portable Game categories respectively. For the latest news and information be sure to stick with Advanced Media.
