Europe: GBA SP Price-Drop & Bundles

In a press release today, Nintendo of Europe has announced that the Game Boy Advance SP has been reduced in price to 69 (UK pounds) following on from its recent price reduction in the US. This reduction of about 20 is very much due to in the opinion of many and should go towards further reinforcing the stranglehold which the Game Boy has on the handheld market - at least until the DS and PSP are released.

The Game Boy Advance SP will also retail in the form of various bundles which will sell for 89.

Jim Merrick, Senior Director of European Marketing for Nintendo of Europe, comments: "With Game Boy Advance SP now available at this great new price, we are making it much more accessible to a broader range of gamers, especially our younger fans. With so many fantastic games available on the Game Boy Advance and plenty more to come in time for Christmas we want everyone to be able to have a Game Boy Advance SP."

Nintendo will also release two special-themed bundles before the Christmas season. A limited-edition The Legend of Zelda - The Minish Cap GBA SP Bundle is set to release on November 12th. Similarly, another Mario Vs Donkey Kong GBA SP Bundle will be released on November 19th across the United Kingdom. Both will be retailing at 89.
